IUT Admission Requirements
Four-Year Bachelor of Science Programme / Higher Diploma Programmes Higher/Upper Secondary School Certificate / A Level (science background) from a Board/University or its equivalent. The candidates are required to have good grades (minimum grade ‘B’ or equivalent having at least 60% marks) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and minimum grade B in SSC / ‘O’ Level or equivalent in English. Moreover, The year of passing should be the current year or one year earlier.

- If the transcript provides both grade and marks, then the grades will be considered and marks will be ignored. If the transcript shows only marks, only then marks will be converted into grades according to the following table

- Candidates will have an option for admission in 4-year Bachelor Programme in the Department of CEE, CSE, EEE, and MCE only
- Candidates for the above Programmes must have minimum GPA of 4.5 in both S.S.C.(or equivalent) and H.S.C.(or equivalent) Examinations
- Candidates who passed O-level and A-level Examinations must have scored minimum grade B in each subject (O-level: English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one additional course (subject); A-level: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics)
- Candidates must have passed H.S.C (or equivalent) examination either in 2016 or in 2015.
